ABOUT US

We are Native Americans from many tribal nations in Oklahoma, many growing up in urban America. Our traditional ways have been nurtured by vivid memories and teachings from elders, extended family, cousins, aunts, uncles grandparents and great grandparents.

The founding members know of Native American centers located throughout the country, including the Native American Center which was Located in Oklahoma City but has since been closed. This center which has been closed in OKC gave the founding members of this organization a place to develop as Native Americans traveling two roads. The center fostered many skills such as Native languages, beadwork styles, ways of the circle and how to make dance regalia. The center provided a place for tutoring, field trips to museums, ball games and ice skating.

These founding members recognize the needs of Natives in Urban areas which include education, training, employment services, cultural trainings, transportation, veteran services and re-integration services. We recognize that living outside Tribal boundaries puts so many at a disadvantage, unable to receive needed services. For example this discrimination adversely affects two-thirds of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes located in western Oklahoma.

This Non Profit Organization was formed and organized to address these needs that have been experienced firsthand.

With a fabulous talent for grant writing , a natural eye towards business matters and drive to succeed, founder Jane Doe had over 20 years’ in business. 

With an MBA, serious grant writing chops and a sense of care for her fellow Natives, Jane has undertaken grant writing for our organization to bring in much needed funding for all of the services and activities that meet needs daily.

Janet knows she wouldn’t get a fraction of the things done she wants to if it wasn’t for her awesome crew. Kara Margules heads up our sales department, helping us find new clients in need of copywriting services when she’s not hitting the sales herself. Marie St. Clair keeps our copywriters working while developing awesome new craft designs. Jason Andrews leads our exceptional IT support team when he’s not making a new batch of award-winning homebrewed ale.
